What is pillowtalk?

Think of this space as an AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) support group; but for entrepreneurs.

We’re all addicts.
Some are addicted to the adrenaline rush of closing, while others, to growing. Some have been here a lifetime while others have just arrived. Whatever your journey may be, we’ve all made mistakes. This newsletter is my attempt to create a community where we grow by learning from each other’s boo-boos.

I’m Ritesh, the founder of Manzuri & Porcellia, and I started “pillowtalk” because I was tired of the fake appearances that business owners/founders feel they need to project. Social Media is full of 18-year-olds who are all gazillionaires and everybody is talking about their wins but nobody ever talks about how they REALLY got there.

Think of this space as an AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) support group; but for entrepreneurs.

I will be crowdsourcing stories of pain, misjudgment and failures from entrepreneurial experiences across the world, and each story will have a key lesson that hopefully others can learn from.

Running 2 businesses myself, nobody knows better than me that entrepreneurship is fucking hard. And while the journey can be beautiful and fulfilling, it’s quite lonely. Even if you have a co-founder.

pillowtalk is here to tell you that you’re not alone. Other entrepreneurs make mistakes as well. (They are just not very good at sharing them.)

I have made so many mistakes in the last 6 years as an entrepreneur, that even if nobody comes forward and shares their stories, I have enough content to share a lifetime of weekly lessons. Each mistake of mine is an opportunity for you. An opportunity to maker lesser mistakes of your own. Just imagine how much value this newsletter could create for other founders if just a few of you could join me on this journey.

Needless to say, your story will be completely anonymous.

Just write to me at [email protected] and I’ll reach out back to you if I have any questions.
